Senior Sway: These 50+ Regional Events Are Vibrant

Advantage MD Takes Part in the Area’s Largest Senior Events.

The 2023 Beacon 50+ Expos attract thousands of older adults and their family members each year to events in Maryland and Virginia. Advantage MD is proud to be an exhibiting sponsor in one of the region’s most visible events, bringing together a variety of relevant exhibitors, sponsors and eager visitors.

This year, the Beacon 50+ Expos take place first in Springfield, Virginia, on Oct. 15, from Noon to 4 p.m., at Springfield Town Center. The Maryland 50+ Expo takes place the next week in Silver Spring on Oct. 22, from Noon to 4 p.m., at the Silver Spring Civic Building.

Far from a sleepy mall walk, these events are vibrant with activity. Attendees can get free health screenings, hear expert speakers, obtain a flu shot or COVID-19 vaccine and enjoy the entertainment. Featuring a range of resources offered by hospitals, home care agencies, financial planners, travel agencies, government agencies and nonprofits, the Beacon 50+ Expo provides visitors the opportunity to browse, compare products and services, and get answers to all their questions.

The excitement does not let up, though, as the 2023 Power of Age Expo kicks off the following week in Timonium, Maryland. The largest event of its type in the Mid-Atlantic region, the Power of Age Expo is a true extravaganza, highlighting the latest in information, resources, products and services to close to 11,000 attendees, offering visitors 158,000 square feet of one-stop shopping with hundreds of exhibitors.

Presented by the Baltimore County Department of Aging, this year’s Power of Age Expo takes place on Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.
