A Care Management Member Story
Just as each of us has a different health picture, we all have different life experiences and circumstances. When our Advantage MD care managers reach out to a member, it’s important that member knows that we see them, their individual situation, the personal nature of their concerns, and not just their plan number.
Amy (not her real name) is a member in our Care Management program who received a call from Stanneshia, one of our care managers. At the time, Amy had lost her husband not long before and had been going through a period of depression and stress since her loss. Stanneshia’s calls were a lifeline during a difficult time.
“I cannot say enough about how much Stanneshia worked with me to find a behavioral health provider and on getting affordable antidepressants,” says Amy. “She has been so compassionate and helpful.”
According to Amy, Stanneshia made all the difference in helping her move forward. She still looks forward to her phone calls with Stanneshia, as they make her feel better every time they talk.
Amy wanted so dearly to express how much that personal care mattered to her, she has placed a donation to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Stanneshia’s name.
We all deserve compassionate care.
