Protect Yourself From the Respiratory Triple Threat

During the fall and winter months every year, it is important to protect against the flu. COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are additional concerns. It is a triple threat to take seriously, especially for older adults. Stay safe:

  • Vaccines for the flu and COVID-19 are highly effective at protecting you against severe consequences from the illnesses.
  • Stay current with your COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for the strongest protection against new variants.
  • RSV vaccination may be appropriate for people over age 60 or otherwise at risk for a severe RSV infection.

Understanding Your Vaccine Coverage

Flu vaccine

  • Recommended for: Everyone 6 months and older each flu season
  • Cost: $0
  • Where to get it: At an in-network pharmacy or your provider’s office

COVID-19 vaccine

RSV vaccine

  • Recommended for: People over age 60 or otherwise at risk for a severe RSV infection. Talk to your provider.
  • Cost: $0 for adults age 60 and older; Tier 1 copay if less than 60 years old. (HMO, Select, PPO and Premier plans have a $0 Tier 1 copay.)
  • Where to get it: At an in-network pharmacy. (If received at a provider’s office, members must pay in full and submit for reimburse
